There are three main types of parking detection:
1 Impact Detection
- Records only when the vehicle is hit.
- Lower battery usage
- Good for basic protection, trolleys in car park
2 Motion Detection (Buffered)
- Continuously monitors surroundings and records when movement is detected.
- Captures suspicious activity before impact
- More complete evidence
- ⚠ Higher battery consumption (recommend pairing with battery pack)
3 Time-lapse
- Continuously records a lower frame rate.
⚡ Important:
- If your hardwire kit is set too low (e.g., 12.0V cut-off), your car battery will slowly discharge over time.
- We recommend:
- Setting the voltage cut-off as high as safely possible
- OR installing a dedicated dashcam battery pack
